Sherece Thompson

Sherece is the Marine Conservation Officer, working for Adonis Blue Environmental Consultants, but also supporting the work of Kent Wildlife Trust's 'Wilder Waters' strategy. Prior to this role, she undertook the Coast Explorer Internship for 2021, which was offered by Adonis, The Crown Estate, Vattenfall and Canterbury City Council; she worked with all partners on separate projects but focused mainly on co-location at offshore windfarms with Vattenfall. She has successfully resurrected the Shoresearch citizen science programme and is managing Riversearch under the H2O Source2Sea project.

With a BSc in Animal Conservation and Biodiversity, and an MSc in Marine Conservation, her interests lie at the coastal frontiers and the challenges many of these habitats face from climate change and development. Her passion is marine and coastal ecology with an emphasis on marine top predators such as seals and sharks.
