What we can advise you on

KWT Consultancy Services go beyond providing practical ecological advice and understanding the feasibility and constraints with any scheme. We work to provide real biodiversity gains and use a nature-based approach that has proven opportunities to deliver schemes with cost efficiencies with the addition of supporting net zero carbon solutions and nutrient neutrality.

Our ecological services do more than just advise, survey and report. We are there to support schemes beyond the lifetime of any project. Our mission is to embody need for development within a nature recovery network for Kent and beyond.

Our local knowledge and specialist expertise will provide you with all the ecological advice needed for projects.

We work with Kent Wildlife Trust to provide a full package in dealing with Biodiversity Net Gain, Carbon Capture and Nutrient Neutrality solutions. The outcome of investment in our services will be long term management and protection of land to benefit the biodiversity of the South East and the wider UK by working with landowners, farmers, NGOs and statutory partners.

We offer survey work on protected species and ecological matters for planning applications, management plans and advising on and monitoring the success of management and maintenance.

Surveys, design and specialist advice:

  • On and off-site solution to Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), Carbon Capture (CC) and Neutralising of Nitrates (NN)
  • Robust metric work, design, landscape scale solutions, land purchase and management
  • Preliminary ecological assessments and feasibility studies
  • Phase 1 habitat surveys
  • Protected species surveys
  • Specialist surveys
  • Biodiversity Net Gain Metric work and solutions
  • Carbon offsetting, footprint and capture solutions
  • Nutrient Neutrality Solutions

Engagement and training

All our support, engagement and training is part of the Wilder Kent approach. This gives the client assurance that we are working together to support a Wilder Kent and Nature Recovery Strategy for Kent that understands the need for development. We offer support, engagement and training in Biodiversity Net Gain, understanding Carbon offsetting and capture, as well as nitrate issues and achieving nutrient neutrality for sites with nature based solutions.

We offer training for staff and contractors and can provide plans for interpretation design and installation. We also offer resident community plans, community engagement activities, workshops, study days and educational activities.
